How YouTube sponsorship prices are estimated
The estimate is built from the channel's Shorts, using the same model we apply on every platform:
Estimated price = subscribers (in thousands) × $25 CPM × engagement rate × 0.1
It is shown as a range of plus or minus 20%. Engagement does most of the work: it separates channels whose Shorts get watched and liked from channels whose subscribers stopped paying attention.
Shorts vs long videos
A dedicated long-form integration usually costs more than a Short, because viewers watch longer and the video keeps earning search views for years. This calculator prices a sponsored Short. Treat long-form quotes as a separate negotiation.
What moves the number
Tech, finance and education channels command premium rates. Usage rights, exclusivity and bundles across Shorts and long videos all change the final quote. Use the estimate as an anchor, not a rate card.
