How the YouTube Shorts view counter works
Type any public YouTube Shorts username to see how many views each Short gets on average, plus followers and total likes. With a Buzzlytics Creator account you also get the account's total views (every view on every Short we have counted, added up into one number), comments, shares and views gained every day. The account owner is never notified.
YouTube Shorts itself only shows views per Short. There is no lifetime total anywhere in the app, so creators, managers and brands end up adding numbers by hand. The counter does that sum for you from public data.
Why total views matter more than followers
Short-form reach comes from the feed, not the follower list. An account with 50K followers can pull millions of views a month, while a dormant 1M-follower account barely moves. Total views and average views per Short show how much attention an account really gets, which is what brands pay for.
How often the numbers update
Every lookup shows when the account was last counted. Accounts that people track in Buzzlytics are refreshed automatically, so their totals, view growth and top Shorts stay current. If an account hasn't been counted yet, create a free account and it gets counted in about a minute.
Track views over time
A single total is a snapshot. Tracking an account shows views gained per day and week, which Shorts are taking off, and how the account compares with similar creators. Agencies use it to report on client accounts, and creators use it to see what is working.
